My initial visit with you is always free. It's important for us to get to know each other a little and to see if you think I'm the right Doula for you. What you see with me is what you get so no suprises!
Doula Services
Birth Support is $700 and includes the following:
2-3 Pre-natal visits. Birth plan ideas, answering questions, getting to know each other, that sort of thing.
Labour Support. I will be there with you for as much of your labour as you wish, through birth and for a few hours afterwards to help get you settled and nursing your new baby. Then I'll leave so you can get some well deserved rest!
2 Post-Partum visits in the first 2 weeks to visit with you and your beautiful new baby, and to support you and answer any questions you have.
I'm also available my telephone anytime for those "just have to ask" questions.
Pre-Natal Classes
Pre-Natal Classes are 2 evening classes on the nights of your choice. The cost is $200 per couple or $150 per couple in a group setting. Groups will never exceed 3 couples. I recommend taking your pre-natal classes at about 7-8 months but if you would like them later that is certainly an option. I'm very flexible.
Post-Partum Support
Included in the birth package are 2 post-partum visits. You also have the option of hiring me for a set number of hours or by the hour at the following costs:
Per Hour: $25.00 with a 2 hour minimum.
10 Hours: $225.00 20 Hours: $400.00
You can tailor your level of care to include everything from having a chat and asking a million questions, to housework, laundry and baby care. My aim is to make your transition into motherhood a smooth and peaceful one. In a society where we don't always have the church ladies dropping off dinners and our moms stay with us for the first month, it's nice to know that you can still have a caring person help you and give you the rest and encouragement you need.
Husbands Please Note: Besides your undying love and devotion, this is one of the best gifts you can give your wife!
I will never turn away a client because of lack of ability to pay. For those on a restrictive budget...there's always a way of making it work. Please don't be shy in letting me know if finances are an issue for you.
